Pavel Bačovský, PhD
Visiting Assistant Professor, Comparative Politics
College of the Holy Cross
My name is Pavel Bačovský (PhD, University of Colorado Boulder), and I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Comparative Politics at the College of the Holy Cross. I teach introductory and upper-division courses in comparative politics and political psychology, and advise undergraduate students. In my research, I explore the effects of videogames and other leisure activities on political behavior, focusing primarily on teens and young adults in the WEIRD (OECD) countries.
As an associate faculty member in the Master of Arts in Political Psychology program at ASU, I occasionally teach introductory and specialized courses in political psychology online.
In my previous role as the Assistant Director for Academic Success at the University of Rhode Island, I leveraged data and social science methods to promote college students' academic achievement.
